Don Kohlman has been a Marine Service Technician for over 35 years. He has worked on a large variety of vessels ranging from small pleasure boats to larger than 50 foot vessels with Inboard and Sterndrive Engine Packages. He has attended school for both, Gas and Diesel engines, Sterndrives & Outboards. For almost 15 years he had spent time teaching the "Marine Service Technician" course at a post-secondary Technical Training School in Massachusetts. He also is President of Oceanus Marine Group, Ltd. located in Rhode Island. Don has been self-employed for over two decades providing Service & Repairs on pleasure boats! Don believes in a simple teaching methodology: If You Know How it Works, It's Much Easier to Fix it! So you have to, Read it, Watch it, Test it, and DO IT! Most of our boat engine repair modules will come with a Handout, Videos and a Checklist. You should take Notes to ensure retention of your training. Anything Don talks about in the Modules is fair game for a Test question!
